🐾 Corgi Race Vilnius

Hey there, fellow corgi enthusiast! 👋 This is Barker Fetchler, author of the Woofsletter.

You're receiving this because your corgi has raced with us, tried to (we don't judge the ones who ran in circles), or registered and never showed up – life happens, and so do stubborn corgis. We've got some exciting updates, so grab a treat – for yourself, not the dog – and read on.

As always – participation is free for a corgi and two of its humans.

Spectator tickets are live! Whether you love the racing, the costumes or just here for the barks and woofs – secure your spot before the stadium fills up. Last year's event drew 4,000 humans and we expect even more in 2026. Tickets will get more expensive from April 1st and then again from July 1st, so do not wait and be sure to tell all your fellow corgimaniacs.

📖 History Updated

Results & Winners Are In

We've added full results and winners to our history pages for 2023, 2024, and 2025. Check them out – and if you have a cool story or memory from any of these years, hit reply and tell us. We'd love to include it.

P.S. Looking for Heat 1 winner from 2023. We know that the runners were Blu, Čika, Niurka, Rufus, Panelė Gaga, Prince, Cookis, Tango, Makas, and Fredis – but our dog ate the paper on which the winner was written! If your corgi took the crown (or you remember who did), let us know!

📊 Fun Stats From the Archives

Numbers That Made Us Smile

We dug through every saved screenshot, spreadsheet and video footage from the past years. Here's what we found:

🏆 Moka is a dynasty. Race champion in 2023 and 2024, runner-up in 2025, solo sprint record holder in 2024 (4.15s). Three years, always on the podium.

🥭 Mango dethroned the queen. 8th in solo sprint in 2024, then came back to win the whole race in 2025. A true underdog story ( undercorgi?).

Polina was the 2025 triple threat – solo sprint record (3.92s, the fastest ever), puzzle champion (15 treats found), and 3rd in barking. Woof!

👗 Amigo: back-to-back costume king – won in 2024 and 2025. At 18kg, he's the biggest personality on the track.

🎭 Simba: the double bronze – took 3rd in both the race and the costume contest in 2024. Speed and style in one fluffy package.

🫛 Žirnis: the rising star – semifinalist in 2024, finalist in 2025. One to watch in 2026.

🚀 Pakas: biggest glow-up ever – went from 17.40s to 4.41s in the solo sprint. Nearly 13 seconds faster. We have questions.

🐾 Flokis: the silent contender – won his heat in 2023, made the final in 2024, then walked away. A corgi who peaked and retired. Respect.

📢 Bronius is the loudest corgi in Vilnius at 128.7 dBA – that's louder than a chainsaw.

👴 Karis (14 years old) was the eldest competitor in 2025. Apollo was the youngest. The average corgi age? 4 years.

🥇 7 corgis have attended every single edition since 2020 – that's 4 times: Madeira, Amigo, Foksis, Foksas, Artis. And of course our Džiugas and Bulka, who are still gloriously useless on the track. From this year onwards we will award every corgi who attends the Corgi Race five times with amazing prizes – so we suggest that everyone keep their streak going.

🌍 Sneak Peek – June 4

World Corgi Day in Vilnius

We're cooking up something special for International Corgi Day on June 4th – a free side-event right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town. Here's what we have planned:

🐕 The Great Corgi March
A parade of corgis marching from Town Hall Square to Cathedral Square. Short legs, long route, maximum spectacle.
⚡ 1v1 Fetch & Retrieve Racing
A brand new format: two corgis go head-to-head, but here's the twist – they have to sprint to the finish AND run back to where they started. Getting there is easy. Coming back? That's where it gets interesting.
🌐 World Corgi Meetup via Zoom'ie
We're closing the day by connecting corgi communities around the world through our very own virtual meetup. Because friendship has no borders (or leash length).

The World Corgi Day event is completely free – but if you want to show your support for what we're building, grabbing a ticket to the main event in August is the best way to do it. Every ticket helps us make these events bigger and better.

We'll be sharing more details as June 4th gets closer – follow us on Facebook or join the Woofsletter to stay up to date.
