The long awaited return

Time passed and many things changed, but the memories of that one spectacular day in 2020 remained vivid. The people demanded for another Corgi Race, and we had no choice but to accept the call. "On one condition: it has to be better than the first one," we promised. It was no easy task, but if anyone could do it, it was the corgis and their dedicated owners. So, we expanded our team and started brainstorming.

2023 is the year of the great return of the corgis.

First, we decided to showcase every dogo registered with his own photo, introduction and even a cartoon alter ego.

And the crowd cheered once again. Owners and spectators alike eagerly awaited a new paw-some picture each day as the event neared its start.

"But how do we make it a better event than before?" we pondered. Many ideas came up: a corgi high-jump, a corgi limbo, even a smelliest breath contest... But one idea stood out above the rest: a costume contest! “Amazing” we nodded to each other.

All the corgi owners in Vilnius began brainstorming the most interesting and imaginative ideas possible, and we were simply overwhelmed by the results. We had truly outdone ourselves and made an already great event even better! "Paw-some!" we exclaimed, high-fiving our dogs.

The winner was a minimalistic yet brilliantly simple design: a corgi inside a bread package. Some say corgis look like loaves of bread. We agree.

Many great designs entered the contest and you can check them out on our facebook page. For even more, visit our media sponsor's page at madeinvilnius.lt.

This time we managed to gather 60 corgis to enter the races. The competition was fierce and corners were cut. The humans went nuts and tried everything to win, while the corgis just smiled and ran to the finish and some just ran in circles.

What is going on…

Our corgi siblings? One didn't start at all, and the other… ran in circles.

At this point we really don’t know what to do. Will they ever put up a good challenge and compete? Or perhaps we just need to get better treats… All this and more will be answered in 2024.
