Every August, Vilnius becomes the corgi capital of Europe. In 2026, corgis from nine countries came to Vingis Park, and thousands of fans cheered on their favourites across seven contests. Everything counts here: speed, creativity, nose and voice, and every fluffy participant becomes a star. The date for 2027 is set. Corgimaniacs, we promise a show you won’t forget! Stay tuned for new announcements.
Seen by the world: in 2025 and 2026 the event was covered in more than 3,800 publications in over 40 countries.

2026: America takes the crown
1GGGustave the Girl Dog, SeattleUSA+

GG got into her first race through a lottery at a University of Washington halftime show, and won it. In Vilnius she started from a starting box for the first time and took the title home to Seattle.
2Mr. CorgingtonPalm SpringsUSA+

He came to Vilnius fresh from recovering from an injury. His team covered the whole trip on social media and wore T-shirts that also featured the Lithuanian flag. Besides second place in the final, he won the Solo Sprint and Mightiest Voice.
3MokaChampion in 2023 and 2024Lithuania+

Moka from Druskininkai won the race in 2023 and 2024 and came second in 2025. She still leads the all-time leaderboard, and it doesn’t look like anyone will overtake her any time soon. A true star of the Lithuanian corgi community!
seven ways to win a ribbon
Corgi Race is the name of the whole event, but the racing is only one part of the corgi festival. Speed is only one talent. The day mixes sprints with brains, voice and style, so every corgi gets a shot.
The Corgi Race
Heats, semifinals and a Grand Final+
The Corgi Race
Heats, semifinals and a Grand FinalThe main event. Corgis race in groups through the first round and semifinals into the Grand Final. In 2024 it was settled by a photo finish: 0.03 seconds separated our two racing titans. 2027 promises even more racing action, as we are adding an extra round: from now on, three corgis from each first-round heat qualify for the next round!
Solo Sprint
One corgi, one lane, two judges+
Solo Sprint
One corgi, one lane, two judgesThree tries against the clock. The fastest time earns a direct place in the Grand Final, so a corgi knocked out in its heat can still make it. In 2024 Moka lost her semifinal, but the best time at the Solo Sprint track sent her straight to the Grand Final, and she became champion! The solo track runs parallel to the racing track and is almost half as long, at about 25 metres.
Costume Parade
The crowd and a jury pick the winner+
Costume Parade
The crowd and a jury pick the winnerRunning since 2023, when a corgi in a bread bag took first place. Since then: Batman, a carrot, a bus, a food courier and Little Red Riding Hood's granny. Amigo has won it three times! The audience votes, and so does a carefully selected jury. Last year the jury included the British Deputy Ambassador, a fitting choice, since we believe corgis are the finest export the British Isles have ever produced. Find more costume photos in our history or in our Facebook albums.
Mightiest Voice
And corgis really do love to bark…+
Mightiest Voice
And corgis really do love to bark…We don’t measure how cute the bark is, but how powerful: the kind you’d hear from the other side of Vingis Park. The owner’s creativity plays a big part too: we measure the average volume over about one second, so the more barks packed into that second, the better the result. But how do you motivate your pup?
Smartest Nose
Hidden treats, ticking clock+
Smartest Nose
Hidden treats, ticking clockA puzzle hunt open to friendly dogs of every breed. We use different popular dog puzzles in different combinations each year, so you never know what to expect.
Run Return
One on one, there and back+
Run Return
One on one, there and backNew in 2026. Two corgis race to the finish line and then back to the start. Getting there is easy. Coming back is the hard part. In 2027 we are adding an extra twist, so subscribe to the Woofsletter to hear about it first and get an edge.
Agility
A course built for low riders+
Agility
A course built for low ridersNew in 2026. A beginner agility course adapted for corgis, shown by a professional trainer. According to participants, a great idea! Every dog that tries it earns EXP.
every racer gets a card
In 2026 each registered corgi got a collectible card with its own descriptions (based on three emoji chosen by the owner) and EXP from every event since 2020. When a corgi reaches 1,000 EXP, its card is enshrined in a glorious white shine.
